Are you a former AAPSM Fellow? Get your Fellowship transferred to SEPA

Are you a former Fellow of the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM)?

Sports and Exercise Podiatry Australia (SEPA) is currently undergoing the process of formally recognising and transitioning AAPSM Fellows to SEPA Fellowship.

Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible?

All former AAPSM Fellows are eligible to have their Fellowship transferred to SEPA if you are a current financial member of SEPA. See if you’re on our list of confirmed AAPSM Fellows here.

Great, I’m on the list? What next?

Please send us an email saying you would like your Fellowship conferred to SEPA. Make sure you SEPA membership is current and up-to-date.

I’m not on the list but I’m definitely an AAPSM Fellow. Can you help?

If you’re not on the list, please don’t worry. There is a process to get your AAPSM Fellowship recognised so please get in touch so we can take steps to verify your AAPSM Fellowship status. Once your Fellowship status has been verified, we’ll initiate the process of transitioning you to SEPA Fellowship.

What does it mean to get my AAPSM Fellowship transferred to SEPA?

By getting your Fellowship transferred to SEPA, you will be getting due recognition for the contribution you have made to the organisation and the discipline as a whole. In practical terms, this means getting your name listed on the Fellows page of our website, a SEPA Fellows certificate, along with the right to use the term, ‘SEPA Fellow,’ in your business/academic biographies.

Is there additional cost in becoming a SEPA Fellow?

No. Your existing Professional membership fee of $150 p/a will remain the same. The only difference is that your membership category will be changed from ‘Professional Member’ to ‘SEPA Fellow.’

I am not a former AAPSM Fellow, but one day I would like to be a SEPA Fellow. How can I become a Fellow?

Once this initiative of recognising past Fellows is complete, more information will be provided on how members can work towards Fellowship with SEPA. In the meantime, if you see any opportunities to assist SEPA and/or advance the field of sport and exercise podiatry more broadly, we would strongly encourage you to do this.

If you have any questions about SEPA Fellowship, we warmly invite you to get in touch.
