Coming from a beach and track sprinting background, I have always had an interest in the human body and sports injury management. Understanding evidence-based skill sets and applying these as management strategies for my patients remains my key vision as a podiatrist. Seeing them engage with their bodies in a positive and healthy way is why I love what I do!
I graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatry in 2014. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to travel with my work, living in places like London and Melbourne. I have worked in some amazing multi-D MSK clinics and with highly skilled practitioners – including my current workplace in Hobart.
Attending sports medicine specific workshops/conferences has always been part of my annual continuing professional development. With exercise management becoming the go-to area for many musculoskeletal conditions, an organisation like SEPA offers like-minded podiatrists an opportunity to learn and keep updated with information in the sports and exercise realm. SEPA also provides opportunities to enhance careers in high-level sport within a supportive podiatry community.
