I have always been involved in sports and representative teams in my younger years, so the progression to a career that involves the assessment of human movement and anatomy was a great fit for me. Shortly after graduating, I found that the business side of practice came naturally to me and from there, my passion grew to finding the best outcomes for patients, combined with best outcomes for business. I am passionate about making workplaces better, and mentoring podiatrists and business owners to develop strategic clarity in business/career decisions, so that they can achieve their personal goals.

Over my 25 years in podiatry, there have been many rewarding moments—both clinically and in business. However, one of the most meaningful highlights is having my very first patient who walked through the door when I opened my clinic, still a patient of mine today, which is incredibly grounding and rewarding. Long-term patients become part of your professional journey, and when they greet you like an old friend and give you a hug in the clinic, it’s something special.

I joined SEPA because I was drawn to the concept of an association dedicated to those with a special interest in musculoskeletal development. SEPA has consistently provided access to the latest research, evidence-based clinical treatments, and opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals. It’s a progressive organisation—responsive to the evolving needs of its members and deeply committed to building a strong professional community. That’s why I’m also proud to serve on the Board.
